Although the website say it takes 1 - 3 business days for the free options to be active, it only took my account overnight to see the free options next morning, but YMMV and you might have to wait longer if you claimed the offer on Friday night or weekend.
Please don't compare Fidelity with Robinhood and other online-only platforms that offer free options trading because if you ever have issues with your account or got hacked, good luck trying to reach a live person at Robinhood and other online-only platforms. Even if you do reach a live person at Robinhood, they won't have the knowledge or the access/authority to help resolve your issues.
Warning:
Never trust online only companies like Robinhood with no physical branch location with your hard earned money.
