Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Company isn't the easiest to deal with if you need to warranty anything. They will eventually replace your item but it will take weeks and come from China.
SD price graph shows a constant $160 price, but camelcamelcamel shows the price has occasionally hit the listed $250 original price. Not as big a sale as you might think, but certainly better than the completely fake sale the SD price graph implies.
Just because they both are based on flash memory does not make them equal. SSDs generate much more heat and will fail prematurely if left in a hot car all the time. lol

I got the A229 Plus (2-ch) in July 2025 for $159.99, so not really a BF deal but still a decent deal nonetheless.
As for warranty support, I contacted them via email and got a reply within a couple of days, troubleshooting help, and eventually an RMA. Took a week before the replacement item arrived (China > California > New York), but it was painless and very good communications actually.

These cameras have amazing video quality .. however , with 2 accidents my family members have had , they both cut out and only recorded audio ... I will stay away from this brand now . Will stick with the old true and tested models

AI: The best STARVIS sensor depends on your needs, but the Sony IMX678 is a top choice for its excellent performance in 4K dash cams, while the IMX675 is a great option for more compact 2K cameras. For a comprehensive high-end setup, consider cameras with a combination of these, such as the Viofo A229 Pro, which uses the IMX678 for its 4K front camera and the IMX675 for its rear camera.

Is the $60 more for Pro worth it? I'm assuming I'd need a bigger SD card for the Pro since it's 4K which would add more cost.
