Used WiFi with Cellular additional 15% off. I also checked the M5: Used is only $10 less than new so I didn't check if there is an additional discount. FYI I prefer cellular because of the GPS accuracy and I travel internationally frequently so cheap cellular is available.

At least in my local area, people are trying to sell iPad Pros for more than this—some of them are even trying to sell above what Amazon or BB has them priced at semi-regularly!

The main potential savings is tax, depending on where you live. That being said, $75-100 more to avoid having to meet someone across town, the ability to return it if something is wrong, and like you said, avoiding scammers, is definitely worth it.
