These are great coffee makers they're built to last. The coffee tastes so good. Great machine. You won't regret it

Something about buying one of these you must defend it or somehow praise it. I dont make the rules.

Anyways, this is the exact model I got and its nice to have the stopper on the drip so you can tinker with brew times if that's your thing. The coffee is legitimately better than a regular Mr coffee if that's all you used prior. The carafe is also incredibly good! There is a previous model that isnt that old that had a bad design with no pouring "lip" spot. But this one has that and it has 2 stoppers that really seal in the heat. I do NOT like the continuous heating plates and turn them off because in under an hour your coffee is cooked. This carafe is good to keep it hot without cooking it.

Anyways, the warranty and repairability will sell you on it if you're on the fence.

Not always anymore do you get what you pay for, but this is one of them.

From what I understand these are made in the Netherlands, which is a large reason why they cost so much. I, for one, trust the Dutch craftmanship to last.
I purchased a slightly different model this morning that was also 35% off and I'm very excited to see this thing at work.

Ha, you're too right about feeling the need to defend or praise. That's how I feel about my Cafelat Robot espresso machine. Anyway--I pulled the trigger on this deal and I'm pumped. I generally make pour over or french press and have done that for about 15 years now. Now that my wife likes nicer coffee, we're drinking more. And that means I need to offload some of the work to a machine. These are a SD classic purchase I feel like haha

I'm really hoping to see the non thermal carafe dip below $200 this Black Friday. 🤞

I have the regular carafe version of this. It's a good coffee maker, stylist and reliable but at the end of the day it's like any other drip coffee maker you could by at half the price.
The refurbs at mfr website are also good as new and well priced if they have the color you're looking for.

Sidenote for anyone buying this (or any other stainless steel coffee thermos/maker). Once you get some stains in the thermos, buy some Cafiza. One container lasts a long time (you don't need to use much). Dump a bit into the carafe/thermos, add boiling water, let it sit for 30 minutes and then just rinse the stain out. A light scrubbing will take care of any stains that are more set on. Magic stuff.
