a 2x4 works too. I know it isn't pretty, but it is just as effective as this. If you recognize the futility of bracing a glass door you will understand this does nothing. If you put it under the door knob, it will last about as long as the jamb. If you have a masonite door, well, this is useless too.

I am actually using to apply some force to the entry door to provide better seal and block cold air coming in. It made some good difference for my gas bill
