I believe there's gonna be a sale soon Dirac
There is a current sale for Denon/Marantz going on now.

Word is Dirac BF sale will start tomorrow, very likely 20% off as last year.
It will save you a little more for D&M, the least if you were planning on buying all 3.

Just a word of caution from my experience, I currently have two broken/unrepairable Denon receivers in my garage. Both died around 25 months after purchase, miraculously right after the warranties expired. The most recent failed unit, the AVR-X4800H, lost the primary and secondary HDMI ports, while my AVR-X4400H lost all signal outputs.
I share this because apparently 99% of all receivers are no longer repairable nowadays, rendering any purchase a 100% loss once out of warranty, so do your research and don't spend a penny more than needed. A "high-end" or high-priced AVR unit is rarely needed imo, especially if you're connecting amps.
For this specific unit, I've seen it for around $2K off and on in different places. I personally wouldn't touch it now, or ever..

For context, my current configuration:
  • Speakers:
    • 2X Klipsch Reference RF-7 III
    • Klipsch RC-64 III Center
    • 6X- Klipsch PRO-180RPC In-Ceiling Speakers
      • 4 Overhead Atmos, 2 rear surrounds
    • 2X- Klipsch PRO-180RPW In-Wall Speakers
      • Surrounds
    • 2X SVS PB 16 Ultra
  • Amplifiers
    • Monolith 7x200
    • Monolith 2x200
    • Monolith 3x200
Every brand has a failure rate.
I'm with others, know several Denon owners including me.
None have had failures, all changed because of upgrades.

You stated they failed in 25 months? Honestly not sure how they could be out of warranty as they have a 36 month factory warranty? So I question what you wrote & it's validity.

Did you use directional setting with your subs?
If not might want to give it a shot.
Works under the same theory as DLBC/ART.
If you do I suggest placing your subs on opposing walls.
Thanks for the info!
No, I am using STANDARD for the sub setting.

Call and talk to an independent dealer. You can get a better price than this fairly easily.

Do you have any recommendations for dealers? I searched a few but we're still above 3k.

What do you mean "searched"? Checked online? If so, no authorized dealer can publish prices below what Denon allows. You need to call and speak to a sales person.

As for dealerships to try, you'll need to check the Denon website for a list. I don't want to name the dealer I work with as they may get in trouble, but I've purchased a 4800H and A10H for well below any deal price listed on this site. I bought my 6800H from the RSL website on clearance for below this deal price. All were purchased early last year.

I called/emailed a few authorized retailers I found in avs forums and they were all much higher.
DM me the name of the dealer you mentioned if you don't mind. Unsure why they'd get in trouble. I'll check the Denon website to see if I can find any more.
