I ordered this device today. Picked up the same day. Cancelled the line after activating the verizon sim card.

How much did the Verizon part end up costing you? And someone said they make a hard pull on your credit; is that true?

I have an existing account and plan with Verizon, so they just waived the activation fee. I am still waiting for my bill but according to the rep, there will be no additional charges. It's only a soft pull.

On the Best Buy site it says $123.49, not $23.49. Does it take $100 off after activation?

Yeah $100 off with Verizon activation at time of purchase. Read the link in the original post for steps to follow.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. When I try to do this deal through BB, it tells me it is $90/month to add a line with my Verizon account linked. But when I do it through Verizon directly, it shows $45 to add a line. Is this normal? Just looking to add a cheap phone for my daughter but not for $90 a month.

There is a "Pricing options" box on the page to change it to $23.49 and activate it for Verizon or AT&T.

Although it looks to me like the only option for $23.49 is the Verizon service (+$40 activation fee if you don't cancel in 3-days). Choosing AT&T puts it back to $123.49

As for your parenthetical: can I cancel the same day? If so, do I get the phone for 23 bucks really? What's the catch

Did you call them to waive off the activation fee?

Sorry, never did this kind of deal before. So just buy the phone with Verizon online, pick up the phone and sim card. Activate sim card and call Verizon to cancel the line?

For anyone interested in trying this deal out, make sure to read the comments in the post mentioned by the "deal details".

To recap, it's this one here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18193018-google-pixel-9-pro-xl-128gb-unlocked-obsidian-with-pixel-8a-trade-in-activation-with-verizon-required-10?sort=oldest&page=20#commentsHeader

Specifically, make sure to read the last couple of pages of comments and form your own opinion.

Personally, I'll be skipping this. Not worth the headache from dealing with multiple calls, lying reps, and potential bills sent to collection.

It was my first time with this type of deal too but I took a chance and it worked out great. I didn't even need to call to cancel, just went to chat on VZ site when logged in to account and wrote "cancel" then pressed enter and followed the prompts until "chat with agent" option appears, need to click it and tell agent you want to cancel.
I didn't even ever need to put SIM in the phone, the agent did the cancellation via email, I had to click link from email and confirm. It was super easy and I am very happy with this deal. This is a great phone, my second one of this model and it is tremendous value being under $24 for the specs you get.
It was worth the minor hassle of cancelling Verizon.
Just be careful with confirmation of cancellation, make sure cancellation date is the current date and not date at end of billing cycle. I had to get it changed to current date by agent but it was fixed fast and I confirmed cancellation only once it showed the proper date on confirmation screen. Honestly it wasn't much of a headache at all and very worth it to get this great phone brand new unlocked for a super low price.
Lastly, for fastest processing it may be best to purchase in person at local BB store if they have model in stock as the wait time can be much shorter than ordering online.
Hope sharing my experience helps. Good luck to all fellow deal hunters!
Edit: Apologies, removed my error stating it has no expandable storage. It does in fact allow expandability up to 1tb via its hybrid dual sim tray, which allows either 2 sims at once or 1 sim and 1 msd card. The 2 sim part confused me into thinking it only accepts sims when in fact it is more versatile than I thought and accepts msd too. Thanks to dealgator90 for the correction! With that msd feature included this really is the perfect phone for me, at least for my limited budget.

Main drawback is no msd slot so storage not expandable but for the price can't complain as its still got 128gb and runs so smooth at 8gb ram. It was worth the minor hassle of cancelling Verizon.

Not sure what you're going on about with the "no sd slot" mention because that's completely wrong.

The moto g power 2024 absolutely has sd card support.
