Recommend that no one who plans to port this phone out buy it. I'm currently fighting with them on a phone I paid for 60 days of service on they refuse to unlock.

First rep said they couldn't verify my account and couldn't unlock.

Second rep said I only had 30 days and they couldn't unlock.

Third time I called with pdfs ready to email showing my renewals and where it showed I was charged on my bank statement. They tried to tell me their policy was 120 days and I had to buy 60 more days of service to unlock.

Screw Total Wireless.

For anyone that goes thru with this, here's the link you'll need to file a complaint to get your device unlocked:

I have a Verizon plan with rooted LG V30 and 0 battery life, and am looking to buy the Edge 2024 without too much trouble.

I have to keep my LG V30 on the charger at nearly all times, so I need to switch to a new phone asap.

Since TW I think is on the Verizon network, is there a way to use this with my Verizon SIM right away, or do I need to activate with TW, wait 2 months, then unlock to use with Verizon?

I also plan to root the phone, any issues enabling OEM unlock with this TW based phone?

Thank you in advance!

Not sure if they require $55 or $110 up front. If $55, then just pay with Chase this time. Change payment after.Edit: Just checked, Chase states: Offer valid on first payment only. So I guess I can only use it once, despite having 2 Chase cards...
For Motorola edge 2025, $50 for the device plus $110 for 2 months of services. There is no other way around unless the change the price.

On the 3rd step: verify your identity, does anyone get the verification done but show "Your identity verification failed. Offer not applied."?
I f you got that failure, forget it and redo it after 2 or 3 months. There is no other way around it.

I got the 2024 Edge for $35 from Metro last year. Phone is ok but I found I'm not a fan of curved screen phones. I would look at one before you buy.
Curved displays on phones are just terrible IMO.

In case he doesn't answer, I think we can deduce "Yes" from his postings.

- 12/15: He questioned why his unlock hadn't come through after 60 days,
- 12/17: He answered his question, "Just wait a couple more days."

Kudos to him for being kind to us by posting back the answer.

There was no id verification required as of mid-January.

Avoid this company if they want ID verification. Recent data breach exposing entire ID documents they collected for many such device promotions. https://cyberinsider.com/verizon-...omer-data/

FYI. My Edge 2025, activated on Dec 1st, automatically unlocked on Jan 31st right past midnight EST after 60th day from activation while I'm currently abroad connecting to home WIFI. My Thailand sim (True) picks up 5G signal just fine.

Some people are getting their phones unlocked in around 60 days, which is good.
Total does have some good phone deals:
