Just bought PS5 version Shadow of the Erdtree edition a few days ago for $40. It hasn't shipped yet, should I cancel for this one? It's for my teen, I don't know anything about PlayStation...

The PS4 copy does offer a free upgrade to the PS5 edition, but the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is still likely to cost you at least that extra ~$25 when it comes time to get that. You may be able to eek out $5 savings buying the DLC at peak sales times.

So, in my opinion, you're fine, no need for the hassle. That much game for $40 is already a steal.

I got this from Amazon for $20 this time last year and they sent me the EU version. It worked fine on my PS5 until I bought the DLC digitally (US) and it would not work. I had to buy the US version of the base game.

Best game of all time. I'm not even a souls/like nut. ER is the first souls game I've really been hooked by.

388 hours.

Enjoyed every second. And I STILL play when I feel like it.

If you haven't played it already, for 15$ you'd be stupid NOT to buy it.

388 is insane. Never got hooked in previous SOuls game like Demon Souls but this looks intriguing. I just bought 4-5 games for BF that will probably carry me over until next year, so maybe Elden Ring will have a complete edition with all of the DLC like Erdtree so I will wait for that maybe.
