What is the point of a brushless brad nailer? All it does is load a spring which shoots the brad. If it shoots the brad fully into the wood, that's all that matters.

No it isn't. Brushless is important if the motor runs continuously for some period of time, like saws and drills. The majority of people will likely use a Brad nailer in an intermittent single fire mode. If use think you might do a lot of rapid fire bump nailing it might be worth spending more on a brushless motor.
