The bad reviews / return rate on these is off the charts. I bought an open box pair for 150 and they were not even worth that so I returned them and kept the pro 2's. I'm an average user and the sound quality in the mid range is noticeably worse.

Could you get the Target gift cards for 10% off and then use those to purchase the airpods (assuming you do so before the $25 off expires at 11:59pm on Dec 6)?

Have to disagree. I've owned every generation of AirPods Pros and think these are the best by far. The sound is different.for sure, tuned more bassy/lively. Not everyone's cup of tea so that's far.

But fit the most comfortable and secure I've experienced with any variety/version of AirPods. The Pro 2's would want to slip out of my ears after a run. The 3's are snug but I don't even realize they are in. They've yet to fell like they were falling out.

The bonus feature of translation and heart rate are nice too. The latter is especially great when my AW is about to conk out just before a run.

Also bad reviews of Apple products are expected. Lots of Apple hater hobbyists out there. And as for the rate of return, that's completely anecdotal because neither Apple nor any of its partners release that kind of information.

Maybe your best friend is manager at a Best Buy, but that's one store of many. Moreover people return items for lots of reasons other than dissatisfaction. For example, buyer's remorse, especially with expensive items bought on emotion rather than for an actual use case.

You could. By my math, assuming a 6% sales tax out the door would be around $215.

OP's math is correct:

$249-25=$224.00-5% =$212.80.

Price only works right now if you use the Red Card for payment (5%).

Of course you'll have to figure in sales tax, if applicable.

Weird, i've seen so many good reviews on them overall and haven't run into any issue myself outside of the 2's being a bit more comfortable
