It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Saw first bill and in CA the taxes and City Fees is around 13 dollars per line. Soon lines will be free, just pay these fees and taxes.

Yes, I can activate one of the other line, but another issue I am facing is with my verizon app, I am unable to login now as even the website is not allowing me to send the password to email, it just gives me an option to text me on my main line or send by physical mail so i can recover the answer to secret question. In this case if I am able to activate other line, will I be able to download the esim ? Should I just do hard reset on this main phone which i turn on ? do you think it can help? I tried creating a new account with one of the other lines and during account creation, it sends the token to the email which is connected to main number and that email link also errors out.

Unless you try you can't know for sure. You have to setup the other 3 phones anyway. I too canceled an order ( but it was not shipped as i had it for store pickup). For me i had no option other than activate the phones. My issue was that tmo only removed port out protection on my main phone. So port failed on three. My main phone was stuck in transfer of data from old device to new which showed 3 plus hours . My kids couldn't wait so I figured out the way to do all of this.

As long as port has been submitted for a number as verified by calling 888-844-7095. You can open the other phones for activation.

As soon as the phone is activated, the number is assigned internally in their system. I would not run around to the store in this cold.

Once you have one phone activated you should be good to follow the process outlined

I just got my phones through this deal on Friday, and I've run many speed tests around town with extremely variable results – as low as 7 Mbps down/0.21 up, as high as 265( with bursts as high as 500) down/31 up; I also tried 5G standalone, but couldn't even get to 20 Mbps down with that – though interestingly still got ~30 up.Perhaps most disappointingly, signal strength has been relatively mediocre practically everywhere I have gone – usually 1-2 bars, occasionally 3, sporadically 4 – never long enough to run a full speed test; but never has it been unusable, and latency has been mostly solid (10-30 ms, the one exception being that 7 Mbps test – which hit 100 ms).All of these tests were run on an iPhone 17 Pro using Speedtest by Ookla to the nearest Verizon test server; I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL with which I intend to run some tests as well, but I can at least confirm that its reported signal strength is relatively in line with the iPhone.
Thanks for sharing the important piece of info.

There is a way to get estimate when you check "Broadband information " of the plan. I was quoted about $5 but now when I got estimated bill, it is $7. Perhaps that estimated bill doesn't include $10 single line and $10 autopay discount, maybe thats why it is high at the time

Thinking about doing this for our family. We want one new iphone 17, but would resell the other 3.
  • Can we port in from google fi? (Exisiting bill is similar, though verizon has more fees)
  • Can I activate, and then put back into a box the ones we plan to sell, and go back to our old unlocked phones? And then after 60 days, unlock and sell the iphones?
  • Can I get a physical sim for one of those older phones that doens't take esim?

You don't need to order separately, the $300 for each new line. When you submit in the rebate website, you can list all the new lines and you will receive a rebate tracking number for each number, so $300 GC for each line.
When you submit using the rebate website, you only need the phone number and code and name , nothing else, right?

Can I activate, and immediately move the lines back to the old unlocked phones? Or do I need to use the verizon phones for some period of time?
How do I request a sim for esim less phone? Do I have to do that after activating?
Any predictions about what will have the better resell value in 60 days or so - iphone 17 or S25+? Wink

You can move back same day after activation. I moved to Android after activation from the app it itself. Download Verizon app on old unlocked phone if it's esim or else you'll have to go to the store to get physical sim. iPhone 17 pro would get best resell than Samsung or pixel.

Well, I asked the rep about multiple $300 gift cards. They told me it was only one per account. Has anybody actually received more than one gift card if they did multiple lines at one time?
