It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

I read thru the whole thread. Didn't see a good answer on porting. Should I port in the beginning when i order or after? I see people have problem with porting. But I didn't see answer if you can port after you activate the new lines.
If you have doubts give them a wrong pin. Port will fail. When you have phone in hand. Call the 888-844-7095. Update the pin. Keep checking on the same number after say 30 minutes. If you get a response port successful, check you old account the number will vanish. Then activate your new iPhone ( turn it on for the 1 st time let it do the activation). Extra time and effort needed as pin for all 4 phones have to be updated calling the above number and then keep checking.

When you submit using the rebate website, you only need the phone number and code and name , nothing else, right?
I was able to submit 4 rebates. One per line using the link and promotion code provided by @madfakka in older posts On the app if I look at order I see under column promotion/ Rebate it was applied only for one line. Total rebate is shown $300Now waiting for the decision from rebate department. Hopefully they will honor $300 x4 .. cleaner approach would have been add one line in cart wait then when rebate pops up add it. Hopefully all lines we get pop up and rebate gets added after waiting. Then they can't deny it.

Thanks. Mine is a single line so there was $10 discount and another $10 for autopay. My estimated bill for first month which was with the order email doesn't include these $20 discount and thus making the base plan at $75 instead of $55. My phone is yet to ship so perhaps it would change once services are activated.
We need auto pay and paper-free billing to be turned on for the discount

Question to group: I picked up the 4 new phones and set up only 3. 2 are existing Verizon lines upgraded and 2 new lines added - but only need 1 new line for mother in law. We don't have use for the 4th line and phone. Big question is do I have to open the brand new package and turn on the cell to activate all rebates and billing systems going. Or can I just leave it in new box as-is and will get all billing estimates sorted out and GCs mailed, and be able to sell the 4th device after 60 days?
You will have to open the box to activate the line. Unless line is activated, phone unlocking 60 days window will not start. I was told by the store that after 30 days, they might activate the line automatically. If that happens then, you need not open it. I would confirm with Verizon store or chat.

How trustworthy is the Agents "Not to worry, it will be fixed on your second bill"?

I bought 5 lines, the total was supposed to be $180+30 fees - $20 overall discount - $50 autobill pay. So $160/month Got all the devices, and 4 activated today $100+$25 fees/month. The 5th line didnt activate, and deactivated from Total.

So I called in. After 2 hours, they put the device on my account, without the 5th line. (Now my bill is +$36 every month. Some other service rep answers. After another hour, gets the line added +$40 on my first bill and +$35 going forward. Now my bill is $125+35(5th line)+36(5th phone)+40 (act)= $236. My second bill is $196.

The fifth line and phone are not attached to each other, and I am not getting the bill credit for the phone. But the service rep says "Not to worry, it will be fixed on your second bill"?

Is that trust worthy?

I guess I am going to call back tomorrow to make sure that the 5th line is attached to the 5th phone, and that I am getting the bill credit for it. Man the new customer experience is terrible. Worse than buying a used car at a dealer

I went to a Verizon store today, and it was a total disaster. Zero signs, zero guidance—felt like an Apple store where you're just supposed to magically know what to do. I stood there for 10 minutes, and not a single person even looked at me, let alone said, "Hey, check in at the monitor." Sales reps were roaming around with their tablets like they owned the place, but not one of them stopped to help. It took a security guard to finally tell me to check in.

Then I asked if I could upgrade my individual line to a higher plan while traveling abroad. The rep says, "Yes, if your phone is unlocked." Brilliant. Thanks. He knows I have a new account and a new iPhone. My phone is locked for 60 days, and I just wanted a straight answer about whether upgrading affects the credits/promo on account. Apparently, giving customers basic info is too much work.

If you're in sales and don't pitch, don't guide, and don't inform, you're literally wasting space. Customers don't care that you're on the clock for eight hours. They come for help—not to be ignored while you wander around like a robot. And then, in a few years, when the company starts closing stores, these same people will cry about getting laid off. Seriously, get it together, Verizon.

For those that did store pickup, any issue with shipping to a non-corp store. No corp stores showing up in my area, but some independent stores area.

Also the sad part is that there is no way to know if the phone is financed or not, he/she just checks it is unlocked and sim/esim works.
There a lot of fraud sellers who will pay for one or two months after sale and stop payment. Carrier then blacklists the phone.
Only time one should buy the phone from private party is, if it is going to be used outside US since blacklists are not universal so phone will work outside USA.

You can move back same day after activation. I moved to Android after activation from the app it itself. Download Verizon app on old unlocked phone if it's esim or else you'll have to go to the store to get physical sim. iPhone 17 pro would get best resell than Samsung or pixel.
Can you actually resell? They will have the eip on them and most places don't let you with that

Has anyone gotten them to remove the activation fees after the order if you ordered on the website? I have received the phones, but have not activated yet.

Chatted with an agent and he said he could not remove them after the order has gone through, only if I order through him. Any workarounds?

Update: I was able to get a phone agent from the activations department to waive the fees, so you may have to call in if chat is not working.

I chatted with them, and they told me to call once I receive the phones so the activation fee can be removed. I kept the chat as proof, so I'm hoping they don't give me any trouble.

Well I am still at a stand still?? Everyone has there best people on my case. My package keeps going back and fort between Newark NJ and Binghamton NY so far about five trips. FedEx says Verizon recalled package Verizon for the past three days has said. They are out for delivery. Verizon will not re do another order unless i shell out the full price for 5 phones $6K but they assure me they will credit me right away when I return the phones that have not been delivered to me? FedEx inssist Verizon recalled the phones and they are slated for delivery back to them every day for the past three days? Verizon Store(s) all say sure we will take your buisness but you will have to pay activation fees and what not in store. Oh by the way hurry up you may miss the promotion if you dont act fast? Wow. I am just mind blown. I already knew the customer is dead and that we are all just seen as consumers now but how can these companies operate both of them without anyone knowing which way is up? This whole experience makes you loose your luster for the new product experiance.

Okay, I went through the Chat and they were able to attach the floating device to the line that didnt have a device attached. Then they were able to apply the "device promotional credit. Then they removed the activation fee for that line.

And it all showed up immediately, rather than waiting for my bills to generate.

Someone at FedEx would eventually return the package to sender (Verizon) and you'll be credited for the tax you paid. I got tax credit for the 1st order. Maybe do 2nd order from your family member.
