I've had the 5 in one out switch before. The first one I received was DOA and the replacement one quit working after a couple of days. This was probably over a year ago, but just a heads up.

in the very short working window, did the device give HDCP, screen blackout issues as well?

The 4k KVM works fine but only with 16:9 resolutions. Only offers 1080p up to my 1200p monitor with the plain vanilla HDMI cable that came in the box with the KVM switch. Something to be aware of, working fine for me otherwise after a few months.

I bought 3-in-1 UGREEN - for $13.99
I like that the remote needs 2 AAA batteries, not like mine previous HDMI switch CR2025...

I got the switch and splitter. The splitter works pretty consistently but the splitter worked briefly and can only do like 3 out at a time most of the time after a few weeks use

My 2020 Vizio M8 only has 4 HDMI and only one is HDMI 2.1. Running 1x PC, 1x Nvidia shield, 1x PS5, 1x surround sound. So I have to unplug something to hook up my Switch console

I actually bought one about a month ago. Ended up reordering to save a little bit of money. Been good so far. Hopefully stays that way.

i've had a few of these.. they tend to break... as in some of the ports just stop working. my current one only has hdmi 2-5 working.. 1 completely dead and the whole switch does some funky stuff... i have to reconnect things to get it to work properly sometimes. my next one will be a higher end one.

buy nice or buy twice.. thrice... etc.
