Every ipad ive ever bought was from amazon. You trippin
So happy you've never experienced the awfulness of trying to get Amazon to believe that they sent you apple dupes or something already opened. Amazon changed their return policy to make returns harder but keep downvoting away, Amazon employees
I am not nearly brave enough to trust Amazon to send me a 900 ipad that's not (1) already opened (2) a fake or (3) broken
but you guys do you
Sometime I'm amazed to receive a swapped $30 wireless charger, the dishonest thief even care to replace it with an older generation. Seriously, people doing this please find a job.
Buying stuff at Amazon is even harder than eBay.

You aren't wrong. I just bought a bunch of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultras (Amazon as the seller), one of them was a plain Jane S25, so I returned it. Amazon blamed me for returning the wrong item, rejected the return, and "disposed of the item" (read: sold it to someone else I'm sure). I suppose I'm on some kind of black list now as well, for their mistake which any normal seller would be apologetic for. Assholes.
can't tell if amazon is missing fraudulent buyers returning things
or accidentally mixing up their own inventory with 3rd party seller inventory
but it has happened to me before with amazon
and has happened to me before buying locally from best buy and staples as well (especially with hard drives).
I am walking without falling. So happy you've never experienced the awfulness of trying to get Amazon to believe that they sent you apple dupes or something already opened. Good for you
This has happened to many people so anyone downvoting you is an idiot. It's not even a great discount.
A few years back, Amazon sent me several used iPhones that were advertised as new. They were being sold by one of the Tracfone companies. Tracfone apparently reapplied the plastic wrap to the boxes, and claimed they were new. I had no problem returning them.
I assume this would be harder to try to pull off today, since Apple now uses paper tabs to seal boxes, not plastic wrap. It should be very obvious that a box has been opened.
There would be no reason to buy from Amazon at this price anyway. Anyone can get this price on the Apple Education store website.
Am I missing something or is this a post about Best buy and people are talking about Amazon???
Threads from multiple threads must have been merged. Either that or Amazon price matched and got added. But Amazon is on the first page as the seller now and people are sharing their negative experiences.

retail return fraud is rampant unfortunately
