Plus the battery died on me after 7-8 months now I have to keep it plugged otherwise will run on battery mode no more than 40-50 min
Sounds like a legit warranty claim to me. New battery time!

I ordered the Intel version an hour ago, plugged into AI and decided on this one.

Why the $600 Nitro V 16 AI is the winner:
Superior Display: The 16-inch screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio (1200p), giving you more vertical space for browsing and gaming compared to the standard 16:9 (1080p) on the 15-inch model. It also has a faster 180Hz refresh rate, making fast-paced games look smoother than the 144Hz panel.
Better Processor: The Ryzen 5 240 is built on a newer, more efficient manufacturing process (4nm) than the Intel i5-13420H. This typically means better battery life and cooler temperatures while gaming. It also includes a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for future-proofing AI tasks.
Graphics Memory: The RTX 5050 in these 2025 models comes with 8GB of VRAM (a massive upgrade from the 4GB/6GB found in older 3050/4050 laptops), meaning both laptops can handle modern textures well, but the 16" chassis will likely allow the GPU to run cooler and maintain higher speeds.
Verdict: Unless you are on a strictly capped budget, spend the extra $50 for the Nitro V 16 AI. The screen upgrade alone is worth the price difference.

Great choice. The AMD version will have drastically better battery life, esp if you undervolt on Ryzen Master.

Got one during black friday at 629. I am going to reorder and return it as Walmart does not price match to their own website.

This is the cheapest the Ryzen version has been. It was 629 on black friday. If they had the Intel Version at 549 or less that would be even crazier, great deal.

A laptop that can't keep sufficient charge while plugged in? That's got to be the dumbest thing I've seen in terms of PC bad design in a long, long time.

First laptop I've seen this season I'd buy, but that battery drain issue kills the deal. I'm not in a rush so I guess I'll roll the dice with the AI ram apocalypse.

You can always sell the org charger, buy full size for $20. Or just keep the screen

Had this laptop for a couple weeks. Battery would drain when gaming.
Ended up returning.
Other than that the laptop was nice.
With the included power brick? was it usb-c?

I had a similar issue with my aspire 7, but I discovered I needed a bigger brick (granted mine was refurbished and came with an underpowered one)
