Im on a F7 pro SS right now, but keep debating switching to this. I just love how much lighter the Forerunner is (had a 965 before).

Im wondering how much better this is for "breathing variations" and smart wake alarm. I've used one of those apps on your phone that wakes you up during your light sleep window and liked it, so would be useful if my watch could just do that.

That app also tell you how much you snore, so would be nice to just get that from that watch since it has a mic built in (which I don't think garmin does).

The Garmin Smart Alarm feature, as I've used it on the Vivoactive 6, works like this:- You set an alarm for 8am- The watch tries to find a moment between 730am and 8am when you are in light sleep- At that moment, it will give you one (maybe a few?) light vibrations- No matter what, the alarm will vibrate full strength at 8amMany people, me included, report that the Smart Alarm doesn't wake them before the normal alarm time. Maybe it doesn't find a moment of light sleep, or maybe the light vibration isn't enough to wake them up.I don't know everything about this Forerunner, but I believe the Smart Alarm is a standardized feature.

Works exactly like I'd hope then. I use an app on my phone that does same thing, but obv it probably doesnt know my sleep state as well as my watch.
