This is a great deal. However... The edge guard on this thing is trash. Doesn't stop me from using it, but the blade is constantly making contact with the edge of the concrete because of the garbage guard.

Just FYI for anyone buying

Only one store near me has it in stock. The clearance sale at that store was indicated on the scroll of local Home Depots. But I had to switch to "Shop this store" to see the price, which was the same $99.50 indicated in the OP.
I bought this roughly a year ago for $129. I don't use it anymore. I switched to a Worx trimmer/edger that was on sale months ago for $49. That one is very easy and quick. As another commenter mentioned the Ryobi has constant issues with the edge guard and getting the right height so you aren't chipping away at the sidewalk.

I've been using this, and it worked perfectly for my yard—handled everything with ease. Compared to the Ryobi 18V version, this an absolute beast. The handle feels a bit flimsy and the unit itself is not of the highest quality, but should be fine for a typical home owner who doesn't abuse it.

I have the 40v attachment for my trimmer. Works fine but gets clogged and stalls way too easily. I wonder how this stacks up.
