Is this a running shoe or not? Some reviews on Saucony official website mention it as running shoe, but some others don't. If anyone has expertise and can share some thought, it will be greatly appreciated.
RunFaq categorizes each walking/running shoe model for each major brand. They use a color-coded system to categorize shoes into support (burgundy), stability (blue), balance (green), bounce (yellow), swing (orange), and speed (red). Watch this video from last year on Saucony brand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrBR7vQA6cE ,. RunFaq put Omni in support (burgundy) category. It would be great for walking. Of course you can still run with them. Hope it helps.

Looks like a re release of a 2010 design - I don't see the point - except maybe the price.
Yes, that seems to be a marketing trend ever since Coach saved its brand by re-releasing its Coach original handbags. Nike is also doing that with Air Force 1, Vomero 5, etc.

I was confused by this. I think the Omni 23's are coming out soon.

It uses an older shoe design, some of the materials changed as they no longer exist on the market. They don't call it running because they don't want to cannibalize thier current running shoe sales. As it might be cheaper when on sale like it is now.
