Fun Fact: When it was introduced nationally at McDonald's in 1973, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese cost around 65 to 70 cents. The original Quarter Pounder without cheese was slightly less expensive, at approximately 60 cents. It was actually McDonald's way of competing with Burger King's Whopper (you know how they ask Whopper with Cheese or without? Yup yup). This was on a $1.60/hr. wage

Today, that would be $3.17 on $7.25/hr.

Here is a good one for the California folks:

The item was first launched two years earlier in Fremont, California, by a franchise owner named Al Bernardin. In 1971, the regular Quarter Pounder (without cheese) was introduced for 53 cents. This was on a $1.60/hr. wage.

Today, in California, it would be around $5.46 on a wage of $16.50/hr.

I don't think that this correlation is a good indicator of anything and really oughta be presented with more caution.

I got my first job when I was in high school, it was at a McDonald's, I made $3.35 an hour which was minimum wage at the time. After six months I got a nickel raise to $3.40/hr. The max raise was 10 cents and only the girl who dated the manager got it

What's the point of this post? Yes, prices have gone up. What else is new. How can this be a deal.

I think the issue is that there's no link to any more details and the post is not presented with any other potentially helpful details (i.e. restaurants that have this offer in app when selected since it doesn't appear to be national). Does this really exist or does OP just wish it does? I checked several locations near me and saw nothing but the usual app deals.

These McDonald's app deals are regional. I don't have it either.

Just a Christmas miracle I suppose (see attached) and also YMMV (in the title of the deal).
But you took it from a post on IG that lists states where stores are participating, it seems like you could include that. Also the second picture for the OP. USA today also listed the following: "Participating markets include parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia" https://www.usatoday.com/story/mo...734356007/
