Good price if you are looking for a Sony and Mini-LED but an OLED like LG B5 which is at the same price would be better.

Dammit, was waiting for this one to drop on Black Friday but it never came. This is an insta-buy if I was still in the market for a TV.

Nice TV and a decent deal. But, depending on one's needs, the TCL QM8K is likely a better TV for the same price right now. Higher peak brightness (bright room use), dark, inky blacks with triple the local dimming zones, wider viewing angle, and so on.

I think the standout difference for a lot of people might be the Bravia 7 being noted as having "Slow pixel transitions in Game Mode leads to blurry motion." That would really turn me off.

Pretty distinct contrast to my Bravia 8 which has a pro listed as "Nearly instantaneous pixel transitions for no noticeable blur behind fast motion."

Apples and Oranges. The Bravia 7 is a LED. The Bravia 8 is OLED, which has instantaneous pixel transition, like all OLEDs.

It's not apples and oranges when the rtings review lists it as a con and lowers their gaming score--and the con is not on the TCL which is also LCD. Which I was replying to.

My bringing up the the Bravia 8 was incidental, I'm sorry for confusing you.

I'm not the one who's confused here. I didn't want others to read your comments and got mislead. You were talking about 2 separate technology panels as if they were one of the same. I own a 75" QM8K and multiple OLEDs. Love the TCL. It's heads above the Bravia 7.

Where the ever loving F did I say they were both the same panel technology? Even if I was directly comparing them having differing panel types doesn't negate the very real advantages one might inherently have over another.

Do you think LCD should get a handicap in any comparison to an OLED panel or something?

This TV has an ATSC 3.0 NextGen certified tuner, unlike the LG mentioned.

It's mini LED QLED, not a standard LED.

It's much brighter than OLED, if you don't want to watch in the dark all the time.

There's no burn-in compared to OLED.

It doesn't have a glossy reflective screen like the OLED typically do.

I'm not sure what the other person was on about. I read your comments and I wasn't confused at all. 🤷
