OK I bit.
Beats the BF deal by $10 and I was highly considering it for $500. I was preferring the Staples deal with bigger drive and touch screen for $50 more (than the previous $500 price) but none near me and it's in store only.
Took a look at various deals at best buy, and tons of open box deals. Many better machines than this.
But end of the day, this laptop checks most of the boxes for me, and is as cheap as a modern machine can get in new condition. Plus, it has a number pad, which I highly appreciate.
This seems as slick as I can get.

Update: I got the laptop and I like it. Being critical, the build quality is so-so. There's a lot of flex in the frame for something that is aluminum. OK, fine. But the weight seems on the heavy side for something that is so thin and flexible. But it's a sub $500 consumer grade laptop, I pretty much expected all of that. Screen brightness is what you'd expect too. Its fine for indoor use.
The keyboard does not feel great to use, and the buttons of the track pad are pretty meh. Those two are worse than I expected, but again its a cheap laptop so I'm not surprised.
Its a very capable laptop and there's no buyers remorse here. Great for students and any budget use.
Also FYI, Linux works well on it too if that's more your jam.

wondering what browser do you use? and what browsers are popular now a days other than Chrome?
I stopped using Chrome about 5 years ago. I prefer Brave and even Edge compared to Chrome on W11 and MacOS. On mobile, I use Opera.

Here a better idea, how about you accepting the fact that one user experience is different from one to another? YMMV on policies.
Please share your different experience from mine since you seem to believe that policies don't apply to you. Do tell.

You've spent more time in this thread than just taking the laptop to Walmart, showing them the return barcode, and leaving the store.

It ain't that hard
Oh did you want in on this? Look at your sig and then look at mine and tell me again who is on here all the time?

Nice specs, nice price, but the fact that it doesn't even have a single open slot for an eventual RAM upgrade limits it too much for me to consider it. Otherwise, I would have purchased one.

Great deal. I have the 1TB version from Staples, no touch. No complaints.

Price is good but I hate over 14". My G14 spoiled me.
If you want a numeric keypad 15"+ is the only option.

It's fine, just wish it was smaller. 16" laptop isn't portable.

The AMD processor is between 40% to 30% faster than the Intel.

Does anyone have any experience after using laptops with AMD 7 Ryzen AI 350 vs Snapdragon™ X X1-26-100? I know Snapdragon have a better battery life and will last longer. Thanks.

Thanks. Probably that's the reason why this version of AMD based laptop runs hotter (fan runs almost always?) than Intel based.

Only heard the fan run once, during a Windows update. I've had it about 6 weeks.

Offer my two cents - grabbed a Omni on Best Buy deal and had to return it due to the absolutely atrocious keyboard. I heard people talk about it but man is it terrible in person.

Numbered Omni model should have a good KB and Omni X should have the bad type.
