II have a 5 year old S20FE that works OK but is getting bit a long in the tooth. I looked around at the usual sites for a new Galaxy 25+, and no one really had any major deals advertised. Just as a random shot I was on the Verizon site and asked the chat box if they had any upgrade deals for existing customers not adding a line.

The chat person said they had a "loyalty" trade in deal. I told them my phone was a working 5 year old Galaxy 20FE. Instead of the usual nothing for an older phone like that, they offered an $830 trade in credit if I went on a payment plan vs buying it outright. The price less the credit basically adds $5.00 a month to my cell phone bill. It was too good a deal to pass up.

If you have a Samsung phone on Verizon and you are looking to upgrade this might be worth exploring.I'm guessing you have to use the chat line or direct voice communication to get info on this deal. I did not see it advertised.

Interesting, I have the same phone and one charge will just barely make it through a day now

They wanted me to change from my Grandfathered Unlimited Data plan to get that deal.

Seems like a pretty lackluster and common deal that they run, have seen it a few times regardless of what the old Android phone is. Have had a $830-$1000 credit to turn in a S10E for the past couple months while remaining on same plan.

Yea I had one of those deals too a couple years ago now, traded in an old S6 for an S23+, they lock you in for the 3 year deals is what gets you the most.

Not even 2 years into mine and the battery life on the phone has definitely dropped by a decent chunk.

Yep, just logged in to look... $1000 towards S25 series, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 7, Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, or Pro Fold.

I got that "deal" notification in the mail and in the app. Got an iPhone 17 for my wife in exchange for an old n8 that had a cracked screen and battery that would last an hour or 2. The 3 year lock doesn't bother me since I have been with them for years and don't plan on switching due to service in my area.
