I've been tracking this exact deal for over a month now, this is the same price it has been for quite some time, yes with the batteries included. It's an OK deal at best, but I would jump on it if it got into the low 400s.

Not a good price, OP, especially at the end of season. You can get it for less directly from Greenworks, with 2 batteries. Kobalt is made by Greenworks BTW: https://www.greenworkstools.com/p...er-renewed

And even that deal ^^^ is not good for way past end of season.

FYI there's two batteries listed in the deal for the Kobalt deal; 4 and 5 amp. Greenworks, which I have many devices, in the link you listed, as normal only have 2 & 4 amp batteries.

The 4 & 5 amp batteries are the intreging thing for this deal. But I've got 7, 2 amp, and don't really need bigger ones now anymore.

At this price, nothing is intriguing at that deal, honestly. And 5Ah battery is so heavy, it cannot be used in hand-held tools. And, like I said, Greenworks price is not good either. it should be around $300 to get into an SD territory

I have this exact mower. Purchased it May of 2024. It came with a 6 Ah battery and a second blade for $499.

I know this comes with two batteries, but... I concur... for us knocking on winters' door, this should be in a seasonal sale/clearance.

That being said, this mower is pretty solid. It mows my whole yard (1/4 to 1/3 of an acre). Unless it's peak summer and I let m grass grow REALLY long and try to cut it really short, it does the whole lawn on a single battery. I have a trimmer and blower in the same ecosystem and I can even finish up the beautifying on the charge that's left on the original battery.

I recommend keeping the batteries/charger indoors and not in the garage. It'll extend the life of them.

A few knocks on it:

When using self-propelled, you'll want to "let off" about two seconds before you want to stop/turn/go the other way. It doesn't like you "backing up" until you're a couple seconds clear of having the self propelled mode engaged.

If it's REALLY hot and you run the SP uphill a lot, the self propelled motor will get "tired" and/or hot. It will beep at you and won't let you use the SP functionality.

All that being said, it's nice not messing with gas. Gives me a good cut (my lawn started looking REALLY healthy after using this). No sign of troubles or weak batteries after using them for a year and a half, etc.

I bought this same mower used off FB marketplace last week for $150. One 4ah battery, used but in great condition. I've had an 80v blower for about 5 years and the battery is still working well, so figured this would be as well. I can't see spending $550 on this. $350 tops if they're clearing out which they don't seem to be. Probably selling this same unit next spring/summer so no reasonable discounts now.

I don't have experience with push style electric, but from feedback I've seen & heard it seems like their battery life limits them to small yards.

It makes me wonder for $500ish are their any benefits to this vs entry level robot mowers?

Fyi, MasterCraft from Menard's 80V products are made by Greenworks. As found online, you can perform a bit of surgery to make them fit.

This is "renewed". Not a good comparison.

And OP is still a crappy deal.

I never had issues with Greenworks renewed products and most of my Greenworks tools are either renewed or refurbished and all are working fine, including batteries.

OP has a good deal with a 5Ah and 4Ah battery, check out the price just for the batteries. Weight doesn't matter for the battery, a lawnmower isn't hand-held. I have both Greenworks and Kobalt 80v equipment, interchangable batteries after case modification. The Kobalt warranty (5 years on mower and 3 years on batteries) is much better that Greenworks and superior to Greenworks renewed.
