No problems here. I still have my $100 credit when I bought it at $409.

The credit only works for items shipped AND sold by Amazon. It will not show up or work on other seller items.

Yea, sorry it was $407, not $409.

I actually bought it originally when it was $449 with $100 credit. Then the $407 deal came so I bought it and returned the $449.

I got both credits applied to my account right when they shipped. They took one $100 credit back when I shipped the first one back, as expected.

I don't see anything mentioned with the item or using the "buy it now." I'm not sure where it would actually reference this offer. It did however talk about the trial during checkout. Is this dead or just hard to confirm going forward?

Yeah. I got in on that deal and used mine today. And you're right about credit requiring Amazon be the actual seller for it to be available at checkout.
