I don't see 10% back with Prime Visa from the checkout page (just 5% usual). Is this expected?

I would expect the LG store to drop price if Amazon can sell at $1358

Just got this for $1147 on the Partner Store website (was $1350 with an additional 15% coupon).

LOVING this monitor. Using it for productivity, software development, not gaming.

Do you feel the curve is exessive? I can see it being nice for productivity, but for movies and some gaming scenarios I can see the aggressive curve being annoying? what are your thoughts?

I can only speak to productivity scenarios first hand. In that case the curve is kind of needed because otherwise you'd be craning your neck versus just turning your head/swiveling your chair.I can say this - when I slide a window across the screen it gives a very distinct feeling of the content following a curved path / arc and NOT a straight line. Like it's rolling around the inside of a drum/barrel. It's VERY pronounced. Feels quite cool when all you're doing is moving things around a curved screen. But for a movie? Hmmm...I would imagine that could either enhance your feeling of immersion in a movie or make it feel very unnatural. Since this is a gaming monitor I'd guess it's an enhancement for most immersive experiences, but I'm not a gamer.I would never watch a movie on my computer monitor but just for a test I pulled up the Apple TV app and watched some scenes in Family Plan 2 and F1. F1 looked amazing in the immersive/racing scenes. (Reinforcing my feeling that this would be good for gaming.) but Family Plan 2 scenes looked pretty unnatural with the curve. Verdict: I wouldn't buy this monitor if it's your primary screen for movies and TV unless you don't get motion sick easily ;-)

You mention an interesting point about gaming and F1. I specifically play racing games (AC, F1, AMS2). How do you think this monitor will fair for racing games?

As a non-gamer, I can only comment on watching F1 racing scenes, and I think this monitor would be amazing for those kinds of games.

Ok.. I also pulled up some 21:9 wide screen format 4K videos of halo gameplay footage and it also looked amazing, so FPS games are also super immersive and really compelling. I think the curve actually helps for these kinds of games.

Everyone is different, so I don't know how much this will help, but:
I got used to the curve very quickly, and I don't really notice it now. I sit at a desk about 2 feet from the monitor. If I were sitting back 5+ feet to watch a movie, I think the curve might not be ideal, but seated normally, it no longer bothers me.
I think in a perfect world the curve would be a bit less, but unless you're willing to wait for the adjustable curve version to come out, this is the only good 5k2k I'm aware of.
Apart from the curve the size is excellent. Unless you're a Trader and actually use more screen real estate than this resolution provides, it's hard to imagine a better setup. The PPI seems good to me - I can read things without scaling (though I did bump my Windows text size by 10% to make some sites like Reddit more eyeball friendly.
No more overlapping windows or side scrolling wide spreadsheets for me. I expect to be very happy with this monitor for 5+ years, and don't expect to be tempted to upgrade until there's a much better technology available.
One plus for the extreme curve is that the monitor takes up a bit less horizontal space...so, that may be good?
One big downside is the LG uses a power brick and the cord that goes from the brick to the monitor is way too short. Expect to have trouble if you want to route it through a spring arm or something similar. I've looked, but have not found an extension cord so far.
Last thing: I do think that if Dell gets this panel and produces their own version, it will likely be a superior iteration, but I have no idea if there are any plans for that to happen.
Coming from an Alienware AW3821DW for reference. I liked that monitor a lot. A bit sad I can't think of a new use for it.

Might be targeted? It seems to be YMMV on some of these prime 10% visa deals. I see it on this but some of the other deals posted I only saw the typical 5%

I got this around the same price at BF.
But my glitches in a way that it scroll up and down rapidly, it breaks a beat, and the screen flickers for a few millisecond or so, especially tried it on heavy loading sites, like Amazon. It flickers very rapidly, and in the white background the flickering it very noticeable.

Even when writing this comment, with the white background, scrolling very fast up and down is making the flickering worse.

Just wanted to know your experience.

BTW.
I bought over $5k worth of LG appliances along with this monitor over the killer BF deals.

But I must say they have one of the worse after sale service I have noticed with any other brand.

They are not reachable at all, I have left the emails as well but no reply.
Almost all the products have issues and no resolution so far.

So be mindful of it when ordering.
I would highly recommend ordering from Amazon directly than from LG, if you really want this monitor.

I don't notice this. May be video card specific. I'm using it with a MacBook Air and Mac Studio.

I am using it with an HDMI port on my NVDIA RTX 2070, and had no other issue before this monitor.

And at this point, I have tried reaching to LG, like 12-15 times, but couldn't get connected and also no replies via email as well.
And I just realized yesterday was the last day to return it, so I am out of return window as well.

So it seems like I am stuck with this.

I have this monitor paired with a PC I built that has a 5090FE and gaming on it is truly next level. I played Expedition 33, BF6, some COD, DOOM The Dark Ages, and right now mid Alan Wake 2 and the combination of having 21:9 at 5K with OLED, HDR and running path tracing / ultra - there is really no way to describe it.
Even with a lesser video card I am sure you can get some awesome visuals on it, not using path tracing, using 2x FG (40xx or 50xx) etc, it really is the just the best display you can get for gaming. Productivity is good too but I will be honest I prefer my Samsung 57" 2x4K for productivity as text is more clear on MiniLED than it is on OLED and 32:9 on a 57" screen split 2 or 3 ways with powertoys cannot be beat.
But for gaming there is no equal. And I have no issues mentioned above such as any type of micro stutter or flicker or anything like that. I also bought from Best Buy as a plus member I just really like having that 60 day return.
