Only sub pre outs for that price. There are much better marantz receivers
What do you mean, it has full 11.2 pre-outs?

I bought one of these from Electronics Expo. They sent me a refurbished unit. Might wait for a better vendor. Lots of neg feedback on the web related to the seller.

Technically MSRP on this is $2900.
Big store sales(ie BB,CF) drops to $2300.
On line sales(ie EE,Amazon) drops to $2000, their lowest sales is to this price.

Onkyo always sold at discount as opposed to premium brands like Arcam, Anthem etc. Plus, it's from third-party shady reseller at only 12% is not a deal at all. An example of a non-deal here.

I was just clarifying "12% off MSRP".

To clarify again Onkyo's RZ50 when it was released(2021) was bought & even had a waiting list at MSRP of $1600!

This is the lowest this has been(will be, for that matter) & fulfilled by an authorized sellers(Amazon or EE).

Why is about 60% off of "MSRP" from an authorized seller not a sale?

BTW every brand has sales, hardly anyone buys MSRP, especially in here!

And, again, Amazon is not a seller here. EE is which is probematic.

Arcam, Anthem, Sony ES series are premium receivers and very rarely sold at discount. When they do, it's a real deal. For example, there were several deals on SD for BB clearing Arcam AVR-11 for like 65% off. I got one; returned it and now kicking myself for doing that.

Onkyo was always a regular brand. Not saying it was bad, but never had that polished sound and premium components like Arcam and Anthem. Given it's now almost 5 years old, and that it's from third party reseller with lessthan stellar reputation, 12% off is not a big deal.

Here are couple of example of a real deal so you can compare for yourself.

I'm not sure why supermanrob confused the issue by bringing up the RZ50 but that came out in 2021. The RZ70 in this thread came out in 2023.

I wouldn't try to convince him how good or bad EE is. He's never been critical of any vendor and his advice is always "buy buy buy".

So you're going % off "MSRP" on OPEN BOX YMMV with those Arcams!!!

Yet you use 12% on this BUT not off "MSRP"!!!
That's not a fair comparison for many reasons imo!

Not sure why you keep bringing up third party, they are an authorized seller & it's new!

Problematic is a whole other conversation.
You can easily say BB OB are very problematic also.

Out of curiosity which "premium" Arcam model did you return & why?

On a side note Sony ES receivers are comparable "premium" with Anthem or Arcam!!!
Pretty sure many people including me would not agree!

LOL reading comprehension has never been strong with you!

I guess that would mean your advice has always been speculation, speculation, speculation!

Remind us how often you "speculated" how the RZ50 would never be able to support DLBC LOL!
