I have the earlier version of these. I had several plumbing leaks around and these saved my bacon. Turned out that the overflow expansion tank on my hot water heater failed and was sending super high pressure through the system.
Maybe I had a dud, but I got these in 2022 and at one point last year one of them went off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. No water leak, and the battery life was fine. Threw it in the trash and don't have high hopes for the other two I still have placed around the house.
These are fantastic! I setup one of these under every water appliance in my house, sinks, washer, water heater, and dishwasher. Pair this with a Titan water value (https://www.getzooz.com/zooz-zac3...-actuator/) and Zwave hub (I use a Smartthings hub) and you've got a way to turn off your water even when you're not home if there is ever a leak. I've been using these for like 4 years and it's saved our butts a couple times when we weren't home.
I got their other model of these, but I put them under all sinks and where my AC unit/water heater are. Its definitely saved me from a lot of work and expense.

I would MUCH MUCH rather have a false positive to check on things than a missed alarm. I have Samsung SmartThings and one went off under the kitchen sink, assumed the RO water filter but that was dry. There was a one drip per minute leak from a loose fitting to the faucet. Snugged it up and no issues other than batter low alerts in past five years.
A person might qualify for a home insurance discount for having these. And get one for every bathroom, kitchen, laundry, water heater, water softener, etc. Water damage really sucks, especially if not on ground or basement floor.
IKEA just released a Matter on Thread water leak sensor for $7 each, and which will work with a hub you likely already have in your tv or smart speaker
