Walmart wouldn't revise the pricing on the order to match the cheaper price so I ordered a second one for the lower price and made them pick up the more expensive one under their "free return" policy. I'm sure they lost money on the freight, should have just refunded me the difference š¤·
The machine is SUPER nice. I've had friends use it and say it's as nice as their professional gym's machine š at the current price it's worth every penny in my opinion.
Out of: The squat is a great compound movement that requires activation of more muscle groups than the leg press. You can also address the safety concerns with squats by using unilateral alternatives like Bulgarian split squats or single leg RDLs.

I don't know if that width is including the weight horns that stick out or not though.
I have a generic leg press/hack squat combo, mine has the horns underneath, and even then the footprint is fairly large. I specifically got one where the horns are tucked underneath to reduce the foot print some but it makes loading and unloading the plates awkward.
That said, it's one of the best compound leg exercises imo. Definitely hits most of the let muscles with minimal pressure on the back. I thought I would like the having the combo hack squat unit, but, maybe it's just me or my particular machine, but the hack squat configuration puts a ton of pressure on my lower back and is very unconfortable so I pretty much only use it in leg press configuration.
