"Reach height" for a step stool, good grief. For those who aren't the model human that they measured for that stat, the top step is 2'2" off the ground.

I have this.
Every time I use this thing it feels like it's going to give out under me, you can never get it fully opened by hand so it will "settle" while you're on it. I'm only 200lbs on a bad day and when I'm carrying and positioning a mirror, that settling is incredibly unnerving.

Maybe that's the experience with all step stools but just thought I'd share my 2 cents.

Calm down Napoleon! I have this exact same stepstool and I just took a tape measure and the top step is 26 inches off the ground and I'm 5'11" I have 9' ceilings and standing on the top step I can reach up and put my hand flat on the ceiling. So even if you're 4'11" you can still reach an 8 foot shelf. Those are the facts because I just did it. And I'll get ahead of the comment about the 225 pound weight limit. They have to put some kind of number on it 225 pounds wasn't the catastrophic failure collapsing that happened during testing. That was probably 325 or 425 but they know that you're also going to be carrying something in your hand. I weigh 220 pounds and I've used it a lot for hanging stuff with heavy drills, etc. and it feels very stable. An excellent buy at $20 to have around the house.

I've had this stool for years, very sturdy, opens and closes easy, lite enough for the wife to maneuver. Worth every bit of $20.

Too weak. They need to produce a 'Murica version that can support up to 300lbs.

Better off getting a higher weight capacity version on Amazon. They're made better and have wider platforms for your feet.

So you're 220lbs and 4'11"? Thanks for the info! My sister in law will be interested in this one, I'll send her the link!
