I'm not sure many people can get a 98" TV on their computer desk. Strange comparison.

Crazy expensive... I know its not curved and not quite 165hz (up to 144 iirc) but I got my TCL QM6K Pro 98" for $1400 which has great local dimming QLED

silly comparison because their panel quality aren't even close (and im not talking about the spec sheet). The Samsung has much better visuals and clarity, which is especially helpful for gaming, as this monitor is marketed as.

Thinking a 98" TV is better than this for gaming in general is crazy work...

32 or 27 is optimal size

monitor is good for text/graphic work. for gaming TV or monitor are about the same. the monitor will have better refresh rate supporting for sure.

You don't think many people can get a 55" monitor on their desks? I have to disagree with that. I'd agree that 55" monitors aren't mainstream for a good reason, but those people probably can avoid this thread pretty easily. This is not in the same league as a 98" TV.

I've been using this monitor for a couple years now. It is phenomenal for gaming. This price is amazing for what you get. There's also the attention it garners. It's impressive and people are amazed when they see it. With that said, it's not overwhelming at all, considering it's size.

I was close to getting this, but got the 57 inch ultra wide instead. love it. I don't game. Mostly video/photo editing and a lot of mindless surfing. It was SO bright when I got it that it hurt my eyes. I almost sent it back. Decided to get bias lights. That helped

i kind of get what the guy is saying about the 98 inch. I ended up buying a 42" Samsung S90D oled and mounting it to the wall behind my desk. Wish I had gone bigger but i have 4 other monitors surrounding it that are desk mounted. I'm sure this thing is amazing , but you can buy a 55" S90D oled for this price. Text clarify is insane on the oled, response rate is insane, its just overall better. I just don't get why people are spending more for monitors when the OLED TVs are very similiar. Your paying more for smaller. Sure there are some advantages in specs, but side by side comparison, id venture to bet bigger is better unless you are playing FPS competitively.

Agree 34 or 39 seems perfect. 55...man you'd better have a desk that's like 4 feet wide...at least.

Agree, I think a 39" Ultrawide 1440p is the sweet spot currently. With GPU prices the way they are (not to mention RAM), most won't be able to fully saturate the capabilities of a 4k monitor with a high refresh rate, let alone a 5k2k monitor. I have a 45" Ultrawide 1440p and my graphics card (5070ti) is beautiful on it. This is my first Ultrawide and I also won't go back. If I could do it again I would get a 39" over my 45", however I got the 45" for less than what the 39" was going for. 1440p is the sweet spot for my equipment with gaming and at 45" the ppi isn't as crisp on text.
These monitors can only be as good as the GPU and system feeding it. If your GPU can't hit 4k 165hz, then you won't fully take advantage of this monitor.
