Besides all the metallurgy comments from kids trying to match wits on the internet, has anyone had experience with these?

I had some that rusted and some that didn't rust from the same listing on another Amazon posting.

Do these rust?

We have had Member's Mark stainless steel flatware from Sam's Club for ten years that has not rusted at all, and it goes through the dishwasher every time. The current price for 36 spoons is $5.98, making them 17 cents each, which is well within dollar store pricing. I would bet that the package of zip ties in the post don't have any more metal than the package of flatware from Sam's, and since they are the same price, there's no reason they can't be made of decent stainless, if not top of the line.

I will say that I bought these when the undercarriage of my vehicle hit a curb and came loose. The bolt that usually holds it in was still there but the hole pattern was torn so I wasn't able to refasten it. I had to make a new hole and would zip tie it a few times a year with a plastic zip tie. The plastic zip tie would melt from the heat. This zip tie works better for an application like this. However, it doesn't tighten down as well as a plastic zip tie when only having one hand available.

Stainless isn't gold plating, nor hard to achieve in bulk. Heck, most plumbing clamps, construction screws / nuts / bolts / fittings, etc are stainless by default.

I will say that I bought these when the undercarriage of my vehicle hit a curb and came loose. I use these in my horse pens to strap wire fencing and I have never had a rusting issue. However I did want to try and sprinkle some gold dust on them to see if they would turn to solid gold. I wonder who I should ask..................

I found I had to use a specific metal ziptie tightner. The ones for plastic will not work. Pliers also did not work well
