A borescope is one of those tools that you don't need often, but when you do there's often nothing else that will do the job. This unit is 16.5' long, with a body that's flexible, but holds its shape when bent. It works well with iPhone, to the point that if you don't read the instructions before plugging it in (guilty!), it will ask you to install the app that it needs - Usee Plus (it also works with I-view). It's native USB-C but comes with adapters for USB-micro and lightning. The control module that sits near your phone/tablet allows you to control the light brightness or snap photos. Based on my testing, it will focus clearly as close as about 1.5". It's about as simple to use as any gadget I've ever bought - almost plug and play. Recommended!
So both versions are USB-C.
