I think this is not a good toolset choice. It offers a lot less than it seems. Obviously, it's full of "bits" which aren't wrenches or sockets. But when you look at the wrenches or sockets, because this set is SAE/Metric, you need to divide by two. And that's where you see that there aren't many wrenches and there aren't enough sockets. A far superior set is the $400 Quinn 428-piece Master Technicians Tool Set from Harbor Freight. Yes, it costs more but you get far more tools and far better tools. The Quinn set has ratcheting wrenches, for one thing. And the sockets have large, highly visible labels. With the Quinn set, you can tackle advanced automotive work. And it's not just about how advanced the work is. When you have a wide array of tools at your disposal, you can work faster and more easily.

For reference, I bought the 450pc set in Sept. 2018 for $160 after coupon. It has been my primary set for DIY automotive work at home and is in working order 8 years later. I will add that the screwdriver bits did rust because of humidity in former garage.

Of note, Sears had their Shop Your Way loyalty points program then, so after point redemption, only paid $90.

Edit: These days, I would have gone for the Dewalt $98 set + some ratcheting wrenches. That's a much better value.

Anyone actually searching for a set this one will take a bit of searching and is ymmv but HD had a husky 280 pc 100$ this past Christmas, there was a 290pc less bits/filler 50-60$ more not worth it at the time . After new years in store I seen 290pc 123$ and who knows it could be even lower now . Good luck .

The $58 and $62 sets look like a semi-decent value for being 115 and 165 piece sets with a bit of smaller filler pieces.

I got the 192-piece for $79.99 in December 2013. It looks like the lower piece sets are the best value.
