Based on reviews, leather is synthetic and ratchet system breaks easily, if it even works at all. One reviewer was trapped in their pants after trying the belt for the first time since the buckle wouldn't release. Hard pass.

BUT...

these are actually really good quality belts and they look good too. i already got one, if they sold another for 6 bucks i'd get it in a second.

i have one and they were very well. for 6 bucks each even if they break in 6 months, that's fine. they look good in real life too. i've had it for a year and feel like it's the best belt i ever had. the ratchet lets me choose the perfect tightness and the belt is thin and light too.

Metal device and plastic "teeth" along the backside of the belt? That works for me! thanks for the info and personal good experience.
My Mark Fred belt had a metal buckle, but the internal ratchet mechanism was plastic and broke.

I got mine a few days ago. They look good, buckles, and the belts seem ok for now. Never heard of these until this year. Can't wait to try them out.
