Needed something that outputs 120w C for my Zbook but this "120 Watt" doesn't output 120w C through any one port but a combo of ports are required to get 120. Hope this info above is helpful to you.

I've experienced a 50% failure rate on Amazon basics USB C chargers. Same issue that many in the reviews experience. Randomly stops working and might goes off. Getting them replaced under warranty is a chore bc no one in Amazon chat seems to understand how to process a warranty claim for their own branded products

All multiport chargers that share the wattage have to do that. You either get a single port charger, or find one with dedicated ports (which is really multiple single port chargers in one).

Yes. I noticed this just yesterday when I had my laptop and phone plugged in (on the A port) at the same time. Once I unplugged my laptop I heard the charging sound on my phone.

Y'all seem to be mistaken. The listing shows that it supports 100+12 (112) watts. Or 60+60 (120) watts. Or 60+45+12 (117) watts. It is a bit misleading, but the "120 W" listing is par for the course. At worst this should be labeled as 100 W since that's the max a single port supports.

Honestly I've seen worse. There are some no-name brands that will advertise their wattage based on the total of the max output of all ports if they were used individually. THAT is BS. If AmazonBasics followed that practice, they'd advertise this as a 220W charger. This charger can at least output 120W continuously (60+60), even if its max single-port output is only 100W.

They dont really 'have' to do it every time. If connected\disconnected port below max capacity there is no need to re-negotiate on already connected port. But that makes logic more complex, with more branching, and they choose easier path.
