This would be cool for the house or for the wife, as she likes the whole-house speaker sound setup for when she's working out in the home gym and cleaning/cooking; currently, she just uses all the Alexa speakers. But such a big Bose fan. Just keep seeming more and more Sonos.

Catch those Triangles on sale and you're in for $600 for that setup with way better sound quality and a lot of flexibility (but more to juggle and manage and possibly go wrong).

Roling your own is not for everyone, I still recommend Sonos to people if it fits their needs and they don't want to deal with complexity, but if you want really good sound quality you do need to look elsewhere. If you don't believe me just do a side by side AB test; that REALLY opened my eyes a few years back when I did it to just how "mid" Sonos sounds.
