Why would you need light around fire?

Sounds like you never host a BBQ party.

I use a griddle top now (almost exclusively) so not a lot of fire to light my way there My issue with these LED lights (and it might be a personal vision issue) is that I find it hard to see the true color of the meat I'm cooking with white LED light. Again, might be my crappy eyes but the meat color gets washed out and I end up having to use an incandecent light source (or LED with warm light.)

Hot metal + magnets + batteries... That sounds questionable

Not limited to use on a grill. I'm going to order a pair and use them under the hood of my wife's car when I check the oil. Thinking out of the box, I'm sure there are a zillion other uses.

My daughter got me these a few years ago for xmas and they were very handy. I used them mostly in the evening when grilling but they've come in handy a few other times when I could stick them to something. One did go bad after 2 years I think. I'm wanting to think that some cheap batteries were included with mine and one of them leaked ruining it. She got me more at another xmas.

I had bought these in the past. Concept is good but these fell apart so fast, didn't hold a charge, and wasn't bright enough. I just use a head lamp instead.

Just get a usb rechargeable headlamp. More versatile, easier to maintain, easier to use.

Just don't drop the magnets in water and all will be well.

Which makes me wonder why it's specifically sold as a 'grill light'. Is it specially designed to resist high temperatures?
