This is significantly better than the regular non-HP version. This also comes with 2x of the better 4Ah HP batteries as well as a 2Ah HP battery. Normally the 4Ah HP batteries are around $60/ea, or if you find a combo pack they are 2 for $99 or thereabouts pretty often. The tool is around $130, so getting 3 HP batteries for an additional $50 is a VERY GOOD deal if you need more of the good HP batteries like I do since I only have the standard batteries which are a few years old and holding less of a charge so this tool is the perfect combo for me to get the angle grinder which I was already going to buy, and get 3x HP batteries for only $50 more.

I have several Ryobi tools that I like but the grinder is not one of them. The wheel stops spinning with just a tiny bit of pressure.

FYI this is the brushless angle grinder not the $60 standard version. Check the part number if you don't believe me.

I'm getting one. Batteries, charger, and brushless angle grinder for this much is a steal.

I think their concern was more related to the power of the brush vs the brushless, not the replacement of the brush. I don't think any casual user knows or will attempt to replace brushes. Anyway, if the brushless grinder also have low power, does anyone know if I can just return the grinder and keep the batteries. If yes, what's the partial refund amount.

Slightly better performance, able to use edge battery, more compact, better ergonomic, slightly lighter, maybe faster brake time, maybe quieter, and that's the only tool left to get a battery version.
Don't worry, I did my research, and I seek for better user experiences. When the price is right (before wife notices), I will always go after better version
