Also with esim or renewals since no physical media is sent like the sim kit you can use a privacy.com virtual credit card (free) locked to $5 over the purchase price and 1 time usage and it authenticates to ANY address. This lets you pick a state with little or no taxes which saved me around $17 in 911 related fees. I just picked a random store in a random city of ohio if I remember right and only had like $2 in taxes and fees.

I have the 5GB plan that ends 7/25/26. I went to my account and clicked on "Recharge." It then allowed me to add 1 more year of service at this current price. Total was $50.58 for me

Works ok for kids. If you ever need a eSim to eSim move they might charge $11 or so. An Apple pSIM to eSIM worked but the phone had issues and the next eSIM to eSIM costs a bit.

Also they count months as 30 days. Not a calendar month. Bit silly.

Would be helpful if people posted the total taxes/fees that were added to the $49 price, along with which State it was for.

I thought buying with a NH location would be a good deal, but it was $21 in taxes and fees.

I meant the phone is a Verizon company phone (Straighttalk) and not Infimobile that is not a Verizon company. The good news is there are lots of various plans from the Verizon mvno's that offer good value. I do wish that Simple Mobile and Walmart Family Mobile still had the T-Mobile option but now being phased out.

i used my actual address in MN and total was $50.58
That was a Recharge, not a purchase of a SIM. maybe that makes a difference.

just checked. if i try to buy a new sim, i get charged $53.58, plus $3 shipping.

iMessage works for me, even on the old iPhone I'm using it on (iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 14.3), so I'm sure it will work on any newer iPhone and OS.

Not sure about call forwarding though, as I've never enabled or used it.

You can also change your number prefix to a local one if you selected a state that does not charge tax. Cost is $5.55 to do it
