The QM7K stands out as a huge 98 inch Mini LED TV that delivers OLED like contrast with far more HDR brightness and punch, especially in bright rooms. The built in Google TV is described as solid, and the sheer size creates a big wow factor that makes movies and sports feel larger than life. The main caveat is logistics, since getting a set this large into a home can be difficult and delivery or installation may add hassle. It is a strong fit when screen size and brightness matter more than perfect black levels in a dark room.
Bright-room movie fans who want huge-screen HDR impact, because this TV is much brighter and delivers strong specular highlights without burn-in risk.
Basement home-theater owners who can control the lighting, because the picture stays impressive and can be almost OLED-like at this size.
Viewers upgrading from smaller premium TVs who want more immersion, because the 98-inch size creates a bigger wow factor than slightly better contrast.
Households that want a simple built-in streaming interface, because the Google TV software is described as very good and stable enough to skip a separate streamer.
Apartment movers facing tight stairwells or small elevators, because a 98-inch TV can be hard to get upstairs and may require careful measurement or a workaround.
People who need a rock-solid Google TV platform for long sessions, because TCL Google TVs can freeze, reboot, and even get stuck on the bootloader.
Dark-room viewers who are sensitive to excessive brightness, because the panel can be so bright that it hurts eyes in a basement setup.
Shoppers comparing against OLED for perfect blacks and viewing angles, because OLED still wins those traits in dark cinematic rooms.

I currently have both. A 65" QM7K like this one with Google and I own a Roku Ultra that was a gift. Honestly, I'm not in love with the Google format and I like the simplicity of Roku also, but the remote has no backlighting (like Google) and it has a weird "tab" at the bottom that I find annoying, so I'm still using the Google. Just my two cents.

The entry for trucks was -1 my apartment was on the 13th floor. Thank God I got a good deal on the sofa because delivery basically doubled it.
If you're moving something like a TV which will break look at the shipping dimensions very very carefully and maybe just get a smaller TV or a projector until you live somewhere where you can get a hundred inch TV upstairs (just my 2c)
My one and only TCL Roku has never had an issue.
Perhaps this is why the guy would rather have the Roku.
Online @ $1699, it gets delivered to your home.
My TCL Google tvs constantly freeze. have to be rebooted. etc. All I have to do is pause it long enough for the screensaver to load. If I turn on the TV and leave it on the home screen, it reboots itself the first time, then ten or fifteen minutes later reboots again and gets stuck on the Android TV bootloader indefinitely.

Best thing was that I can run android VPN software to stream videos from AU or UK. Is there VPN software available for Roku OS? (Specifically, I have Windscribe VPN)

5 year Geek Squad protection on a new one is $449.99, so would be $2449 total.
