What portable devices need 240W? That's a lot of power.

I've used other cables from Lisen. They are up there with Anker.

Most people don't need require higher than USB 2 speeds and often times you sacrifice cable length to get those higher speeds (unless you're willing to pay for premium cables).

Sure but that cable is over six times as expensive as this deal considering the two pack.

I bought this cable last year. This will not do 240w. It wouldn't even do 140w. It will do 100w depending on the charging block. I contacted Lisen support and at first they were responsive. They asked for video showing the issue. I sent them a video and also same charging block and an Anker cable that charged up to 140w. They said thank you we will send this to engineering to help determine how to help you resolve this issue. That was over a month ago. I sent an email asking what's going on, and they said that engineering is looking into it. If you need a cable that will do 240w, this is not it.

Save and get something better. 480Mbps data transfer is slow.
You are getting confused between charging speed and data speed! If you need data speed then go for USB 4/5 or Thunderbolt cable which are obviously more expensive! The cheapest USB 4 or Thunderbolt cable is $10 !!!But in 90% of the cases, people care about charging speed not the data speed 😬

I'm not confusing the 2 lol. Charging speed is one thing and data transfer speed is another. We have people in here asking if this can do alt dp. I'm simply stating that 490 Mbps is slow as shit. You are confused? 😊

It drives me nuts that so many devices will not charge with a usb-c to usb-c setup. I have dozens of devices that require usb-a to usb-c. You would think they could make them work with both kinds.

Deals like this are the reason I have about 20 usb cables in a box lol. Hard to resist cheap usb cables.

Can this do alt-mode. 99% of the posts have been for data transfer & charging only cables
No. You'll need a USB 3.1gen2, 3.2, or above cable for that. Thunderbolt 3+ cables also work. This is a USB 2.0 cable.

I used the "Ask Rufus" for the word "video" and got:For video use, the LISEN USB-C to USB-C Cable handles 480Mbps data transfer well, but for video output to external displays, you'll need dedicated adapters or hubs. Here are excellent options...So I think the answer is yes, these cables will handle video.
The answer is no.

Sure you can transfer video files at 480Mbps speed(which is rather slow), but dp alt-mode is what allows you to connect your laptop to a monitor directly using USB-c for video output, instead of a dedicated HDMI or DP cable. Generally USB 3.1 gen 2 (or above) cables support alt mode. This cable is only USB 2.0.

After that Rufus went on to try to sell you adapters and hubs which are definitely not required to use a USB cable in dp alt-mode(you just need the right USB cable, provided your monitor supports it), so clearly Amazon trained it to try to sell you stuff you don't need. Maybe don't trust Rufus. The real AI chat bots (Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok) can give you much more accurate answers.
