Is it enough for a 5080?

If i was *REALLY* trying to future proof my PSUs at this point (as someone who owns multiple RTX 5090s and am already maxxing out the 12v plug..

Looking at a power supply as something i TRY to keep for ~10+ years (hey, they usually have 10-12 year warranties) ... I do think that having a PSU with 2x 12v plugs is going to become necessary

I do think things are going to start revolving more around effficiency at this point as well, and I absolutely realize I am an edge case with the 5090s... but even if i was building a "really good gaming computer" (4070ti/5070ti based is where i would put this and you can extrapolate the rest of the build around the gpu)

... I'd still want the 2x 12v plugs to knwo that this psu would make it through my *NEXT* build.

That said 1000w for 100 bucks .... the value proposition is pretty decent..

I'm hoping ARM based solutions start hitting the market and increase efficiency tbh.. I'm typing this on mac silicon and it's just ridiculous how powerful this little m4 is and how little power it uses.

Believe the GS has 2x 12v2x6 and the GL has one with other PCIe instead of the second one. The GS I only gets one PCIe cable. If you have an older GPU without HP connectors GL might be better. If you have a 5090 then the GS is a better option with it's 2 HP connections or else you need to use the adapter cables. Depends on whether you want that look or not. I personally like things clean and no apapters. The GS had a promotion that has a splitter but some GPU manufacturers warn against their use which is likely around liability for warranty.

In addition to what is already been mentioned, MPG A1000GS comes with sleeved cables and EPS cables are 700mm long instead of 600mm of MAG A1000GL. Overall MPG is slightly more premium line.

Bought the 750w version but honestly don't know if I should get this now. I have a 5070ti so no need to upgrade anytime soon

It will be enough, and most likely will work just fine. But recommend to get a 1200w or higher will be better.
