We have older outlets with type-B USB ports in our kitchen and we use this so that friends can charge their phones regardless of which phone they have. Works great for our use case - just wish it came in white.

Looks like it does come in white now, according to Amazon website. But it's $15

I got a different brand of one of these recently and when you had more than 1 phone plugged in the charging speed dropped drastically and did it again once a third one was plugged in.

Just be wary.

You absolutely do not one to plug more than one device into these cables at a time. If the USB-c cable negotiates 9v off a qc port, and the other device plugged in can't take more than 5v, you could fry it. Sounds like in your case the other devices had safety mechanisms in place to prevent charging. I know their pic shows otherwise and that would work if all devices negotiate 5v only but I wouldn't trust this cable to prevent 9v negotiation when 5v devices are plugged into the other ports.

You have Type-A ports, not Type-B.
