FWIW, I had this exact heater running in my oversized-one-car garage since Friday night in anticipation of this weekend major winter storm. It is performing admirably by raising the garage temp to 60F when it's only 13F outside with windchill of -3F. The heater is sturdy and well made. It's nicely equipped with a remote(battery not included).

I heat bedrooms with these. I had three. One just broke after at least 15 years. Otherwise these are really great.
Only thing is setting to 60 gets my room to 62. However setting it to 65 it will go off at 71-72.

everyone please be careful with these or any others, i just had one burn my electrical outlet and melt the cord. ( Never run them unattended or while you are sleeping) it does do a good job of heating a room just be cautious -

Lasko for the win! We have four Lasko heaters of different size, shape, and age working great throughout the house. They are the go to brand for me when it comes to space heaters.

That said, I think $55 for this model is pricey. May be the current economy so take it with a grain of salt. I will wait for the summer heater sale once the ice storms pass.

I just received it today. This thing is light weight. It feels cheap. It has plastic smell when I turn it on.

I think this is the exact model I got at least 15 years ago and it still runs like a champ. The remote was lost years ago though. I still prefer oil radiator heaters because they are silent and safe to run unattended but we use this in our family room so we can keep the rest of the house a little cooler. It is light enough to move around as needed and you don't have to bend over to pick it up when moving it.

I have the older model Lasko CT22766 22" heater that I bought of Marketplace 4-5 years ago used for $20. In a 12 x 14 room it will cook you. I relocated it to an open floor plan livingroom in a split ranch. It runs morning till night and keeps my thermostat from going off at 67.

I am convinced these Lasko are some of the best.

Have to setup an alert for these.
