Not surprised to see a refurb deal on these since there are tons of them that get sent back to be fixed. I had a pair for 3 months before they refused to charge and I returned them. The charging and battery software is absolute trash which is a shame because I loved them while they worked.

I was able to fix mine. I realized it was because the headphones weren't fully assembled. My right headphones earpads weren't fully snapped on and it wasn't until I pushed those earpads in did ANC fully engage.
The leakage was caused more noise to leak through and not allowing the NC to fully engage.

I picked up XM6 and PX7 S3 to compare. Obviously those are different devices, but speaking generally:
- ANC: Sony blows B&W out of the water, to the point where I had to seriously evaluate my motivations for getting headphones
- Build quality: B&W blows Sony out of the entire water park. Sony feels like a plastic toy that you can snap in half if you apply enough force. B&W is a premium device made with metals and very comfortable ear pads.
- Sound quality: B&W is noticeably better SPECIFICALLY when you compare them back-to-back. Sony just sounds so muffled once you put on the B&W. Everyone talks about bass on Sony, but bass is PX7 strong point too, to the point where I had to tune it down. PX7 downside is that sometimes it has piercing highs, especially high hat cymbals. It was pretty fatiguing before I got used to it. Overall, PX7 clarity is just significantly superior to Sony.

I did in fact evaluate my priorities, and I decided that FOR ME, sound quality was the most important factor, and I knew I would be disappointed if I picked up the Sony. So I stuck with B&W, which FOR ME has been an amazing choice, since I have used it to listen at home, and am enjoying a level of clarity I have never heard in my other devices.

Note: I got both headphones last BF when they had pretty deep discounts for open box on Amazon. Each one was around the $250 range.

Mine just arrived an hour ago. Right side NC DOA. Overall sound still good but already sent an email to support for a new one and to return this one.
Same issue with the right side anc here. I recommend everyone confirms anc is active in settings and then plug one ear while wearing opposing cup

That was it! They must have swapped pads when refurbishing and missed a clip. Thanks!

They need to lower the prices of these overpriced gadgets. If they can't last that long then it shouldn't cost that much.
Why stop here... washer dryer ... coffee pot ninja junk ... cars ... everything is overpriced and made to fail ... bring back ... made in USA !!

This is one of the best headphones in terms of build quality out there.
Sound quality is also unmatched. These aren't overpriced gadgets, they're expensive gadgets.
But you're not wrong, the headphone industry is filled with overpriced made to fail gadgets but this isn't one of those.

Out of curiosity, can one use this for PC gaming? Nothing competitive, rather puzzle and casual gaming... it does have a mic so maybe can use on Discord also? TIA

Bluetooth can be finicky on Windows. It's worth trying though.

Great Deal. Best price I've ever seen was $150 new at Costco or refurbed from the Bowers and Wilkins website. Unless you were one of the lucky ones who got it new on clearance at Costco for $99.

I went on a year-long search for over-ear headphones. This was the first pair I bought, returned to Costco cause I thought maybe there was better and that I cared about noise cancellation more. Tried over 20 sets, kept a few, returned many because they didn't sound great or hurt the top of my head. Thanks to this deal, I'm back to where I started, purchased these again, and have been happily listening for the last 3 days.

When the S3 or the Px8 drops more, maybe I'll hop to those. In the meantime, I'm hoping to finally stop looking at headphones for a bit.

Thanks for updating us, when mine arrive tomorrow I will make sure the ear pads are fully clipped in.

Got me. I wavered too long on momentum 4s last season which have better stock tuning but I'll be using wavelet and peace apo anyways. Slick deal indeed.
There will be another sale on Momentum 4. The stock tuning is so good. Using an aptX adaptive dongle I'm blown away by how good they sound with no adjustment.

Im impressed. Owner of sony xm5 and bose ultra Gen1. This one sounds alot better. Im actually ok with the ANC. Is decent, The sound quality is close to what the bose ultra produce (in trebble amd clarity) but still more clear and cleaner bass, fast, tighter. Xm5 has stronger overblown bass but also everything sound muffle after you listen to this. I guess xm5 will be my gym headphones.

Btw i receive both today. This and senheiser hd6xx. Px7 is an excellent bluetooth headphone but hd6xx is at another league. Im acually impress coming from a hd560s and bd 900 pro x.

I'm thinking about just getting the 6xx when it gets to around 149,i missed the last sale... I wanted to try these out but I already have the sennheiser momentum 3 joints. How are you liking the the HD 6xx,do you use an amp with yours? How does it compare to the HD 560s, I have that as well.
