Recent reviews mention warping and separation after just a few uses.

Sort by recent reviews. 90% are negative.

"Don't waste your time and money. These boards are warping, cracking and shedding bamboo after less than four uses. They were not put in the dishwasher, they were not soaked in water. They were used to chop vegetables a couple times and they are all garbage now unfortunately. I don't know how there are so many positive reviews. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing these and had high hopes that if I cared for them, they would last. Unfortunately not."

Not to be rude, but that's factually incorrect. Plus metal and glass will destroy your knife edge.

I use a titanium board I made myself. Sure it dulls your knife edge a little worse than plastic or wood, but its easily sharpened. It won't ruin the bevel and you can easily run it in a pull through sharpener for 10 seconds before you start chopping. The titanium board is much easier to clean and is basically indestructible.

Apparently these mofos can't use bleach and antibacterials soap to clean their wood boards..... Bamboo is some of the hardest wood and fastest growing. And the world very doubt, and it warps a less under pressure from heat, or somebody sitting on it that weighs over 400 lbs!

Thanks for doing the work - always look at the most recent reviews rather than top reviews.

Bacteria live rent free

Metal, glass or go home
At MIT they did a well designed experiment to compare wooden boards to plastic. Contrary to what one would assume, it turned out that wood was more hostile to growth of bacteria.

Supposedly cutting boards should be replaced every 3-6 months, to help getting rid of health threatening stuff. This is a good price, I'll get one. Bamboo, wood boards are prone to warping, crack, etc. Just make sure after each use, wipe it dry, it'll last a long time.
tell that to my mom, i'm 40 and she's still using the same wood cutting boards from when i was in first grade. Nobody got sick or had a health threatening condition because of it.

My cheapo bamboo cutting boards from Walmart are starting to warp after 1.5 years. Surprised they lasted this long. Time for an upgrade!

---

Edit: actually all of the recent reviews are terrible. guess it's a pass.
