Fidelity Investments Is Offering $0 TurboTax Online or $5 Desktop Premier (for select account holders)

Fidelity Investments is offering discounts for TurboTax 2025 the online and desktop version. The final price depends on the discount offered by Fidelity based on your account status. The default is for the online version, but I would not recommend the online version if you want to upgrade to Home and Business version.

Instruction:
~ Log into you Fidelity account. https://www.fidelity.com/
~ Scroll down down and look for "Exclusive: Free TurboTax Do It Yourself Premium". Click the green button "Get Started Now".
~ Click on "Claim your discount with TurboTax"
~ Continue on until you get to the page that says "File your taxes free with Do It Yourself Premium". For me, it shows $99 being crossed off and $0* being the price. If you click on "Get Started", it will take you to Intuit login page and will give you the actual price based on the service you select. Since Intuit knows I have Small Business QuickBooks, they automatically selected Small Business online version and wanted to charge me a higher fee (I think it was like $165). It may be $0 for a simple individual filer.

Hack: For those who wants to stick with Home and Business desktop version, do the following:
~ On the page that states "File your taxes free with Do It Yourself Premium", scroll down a little bit and look for the white box that says "Offer details for Fidelity clients" and click on the link that says "TurboTax Premier Desktop download". Continue on and pay the $5 fee. After the payment, download the TurboTax 2025 to you computer and enter the code that was provided when your payment was processed. Login into your TurboTax 2025 software (ignore the offer to upgrade to the online version for free) and click on "Help" on the upper left corner of your TurboTax 2025 screen. Select upgrade. You should see the option to upgrade to Home and Business desktop version for extra $15.

Note: Last year, I started my tax return late. Fidelity removed the free offer link when I tried to look for it in early March. So best to download it now even if you don't intend to start the filing till later.

Most people only received 25%-30%. And there is already a very long thread with much more information: https://slickdeals.net/f/18992206-fidelity-customers-free-or-discounted-2025-turbotax-select-accounts?
So, no, I will not be giving reps as you request.

30% off here and I have over $1M in investments with Fidelity, so not sure who gets this $0 or $5 offer.

Same here, but all of it is in 401K's. I bet if I had at least $1 in a taxable account I'd get the offer.

I used to get the free TurboTax until last year, when I was told that they had changed the "free" criteria based on the number of trades you made, or perhaps whether you had funds in a managed account that generated revenue for Fidelity. So even if you have any large sum with them, but do not generate a certain level of profit for them, you are unlikely to get this offer. In other words, those most likely to benefit from the savings are the least likely to receive the offer. On top of that, the 25% (or more) off offer applies to Federal only, so it is less advantageous to those with state returns than other offers available elsewhere.
