better sound than XM4's but lot of hinge issues and plastic snapping. XM6's are better all around with redesigned hinge but you're going to be paying at least $300 or maybe $250 if you are okay with refurbished.

I keep hearing about hinge issues with the XM5 so always stayed away from them.

Seriously, with these things it's not a matter of if you experience the hinge issue, but when. Keep listening to your gut and stay away.

The XM4's have a cleaner more streamline fit that make them more easy to sleep with IMO, even on your side if you manipulate the pillow enough. This comes into play mostly in airplanes or noisy hotels for me. I wouldn't try sleeping with the the XM5's on due to the hinges. I recently got the Bose QC's from a woot deal posted here and I think they are very similar fit but the sound quality is better and the buttons on the Bose are more user friendly. Sometimes with the XM4's I get lost trying to skip, start or stop music which requires me having to pick up my phone to see whats going on. However the Bose I noticed the often "pop" as if the Bluetooth is not as stable when nothing is playing.

I got these at best buy yesterday for 320 since there were on sale. This is a better deal. Ima go back and return. Extra 100$ off. WHY NOT!

Waiting for a deal on XM6. Still rocking my XM2's 😁 They have seen better days, the headband is pretty dry and cracked but functionally still work great. I'd love to get my last device off micro usb though and ditch a cable I have to carry around...

Great sound, but if are remotely a warm or sweaty person, be prepared to sweat your ears off. I hate these because if this alone. So damn hot
