Very broad generalization. I've had the 3a, 3, 6a, 7, 7a, 8, 9, and 10 Pro with zero problems.

Wow, you've had a lot of bad experience. If I was in your shoes I would have quit buying Pixels after 4. Why keep torturing yourself?
And yet here people are trying to buy Pixel phones.

Why get one after the 3? Having said that I like the 9XL. Everything seems to work well and it runs smoothly. I like the amount of ram google offers.

This is a good deal, but I am going to hold off for a few more weeks as I believe the Pixel 10a is supposed to be released by this March. I am assuming the 9a will drop once that happens. I am currently on a 6a, which works well, except for the battery life. I already took the $100 refund due to the battery issues, so I am hoping to get the 9a for $200 after accounting for the $100 refund.
I have a feeling Google will not sell the 9a after the 10a is out, seeing how its basically the same phone. Some very minor adjustments on the production lines and slapping a new name on the phone with what seems to be one new color variant and calling it a day

I had the 6a. Was probably one of the worst phones I've ever owned, but I was coming from samsung galaxies so there's a big of a price/quality gap inherently.

Having said that, pretty much most google made products I've owned have either broken considerably quicker than usual or just have had tons of software (lol) issues.
I bought 1 last year. Barely has 200 charging cycles. Pretty solid besides showing it's age with updates

But did you have a bendable Nexus 6p?

There has not been a good Google phone since the Nexus 5. My Pixel 7 Pro screen delaminated after a few months and a firmware update from Google broke the focus on the main camera and now it's always blurry unless in macro mode, which turns off if you leave the camera app.
Sounds like you got a lemon. I'm on my 7 Pro now and I can't think of a single thing I wish was better about it. It's been so good that it's hard to justify an upgrade.

My wife hates hers and can't wait to go back to Samsung. She had a S20 FE and went to a pixel 7 pro... Big downgrade and reliability and usability issues.
